Honeysuckle, lilies and peonies get splashed with sea water this year

Pleasures Aqua By Estée Lauder

Estée Lauder will release a new perfume for women next month, in March 2016, called Pleasures Aqua, a watery inspiration drawn from the original Pleasures (1995), an annual companion release, different each time. The scent is a bout a "...place where the sky meets the sea and the scent of fresh flowers intermingles with crisp ocean air..."...
The aquatic floral blend aims to be a "calming getaway for the modern woman who is passionate about life's simple pleasures," purporting to offer in this manner a wellness angle.
The eau de parfum, which was formulated by Firmenich - Alberto Morillas and Annie Buzantian composed the first matricial fragrance - opens on top notes of honeysuckle, freesia, solar florals, leafy greens and a cool water accord reportedly recreating the sensation of "sunlight on salt-kissed skin." The floral heart features lilac, jasmine blossoms and peony petals. The base is said to be light, warm and "intoxicating" with notes of musks, soft woods, as well as the "creamy, golden sensuousness of Ambrox."
Perfumes are like olfactory daydreams experienced with eyes wide open and nostrils flaring wherever you might find yourself, and so with this composition, you're supposed to be in a floral scent-surround - be it a garden or a field - close by the sea, a kind of contrast that has been explored by perfumery a few times as a highly desirable "best-of-both-worlds" olfactive place to be, in imagination.
SRP: $65.00 for 1.7 oz / 50 ml EDP Spray. $88.00 for 3.4 oz / 100 ml EDP Spray.
