Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Bloom (2017)

 

Dutch fashion house Viktor & Rolf are releasing a new flanker fragrance called Flowerbomb Bloom, a reportedly airier version of the original Flowerbomb from 2005...

The designers wanted to evoke that time of transition from winter to springtime which is marked by "an explosion of flowers."

Perfumer Domitille Bertier signs the new composition. She is one of the three co-authors of the first Flowerbomb.

Flowerbomb Bloom eau de toilette has top notes of pomegranate, bergamot and grapefruit; the heart showcases a scent molecule meant to suggest fresh, unpolluted air, together with peony and jasmine; the base rests on vanilla, patchouli and musk.

Viktor & Rolf Magic Collection Of Six Scents

The press launch took place on October 10, 2016 at the Upper East Side Academy Mansion in New York City in a setting fit for a Harry Potter scene

Viktor & Rolf will launch a library of six scents from February 2017 called the Magic Collection. The tag line is « Spread the magic.» The six perfumes have been baptized with witchy names to drive the point: Dirty Trick, Sage Spell, Lavender Illusion, Liquid Diamonds, Sparkling Secret and Dancing Roses...

It's a first for the brand which so far has focused on single releases and flankers.

There's been a market pull in the direction of perfumes coming in dressing sizes. Labels are eager to corner the market of connoisseurs who like to feel that thoughtful compositions led by ingredients housed in minimalist bottles are available at their finger tips.

It is less usual to mix fantasy or magical realism with a niche outlook,

« Viktor&Rolf Magic Collection is a new and compelling olfactory project and a chance for the imaginary to become cleverly intertwined with mystery. Each of the fragrances creates a singular, intriguing and surrealist riddle, leading the way to new sensations and experiences. »

The two main ideas are to bring togther natural ingredients and innovative accords.

Dirty Trick has notes of Iris, Suede Accord and Cedarwood.

Sage Spell rests on Grapefruit, Pink Pepper, Peppermint and Patchouli.

Lavender Illusion showcases Lavender, Blackcurrant, Musk and Pine.

Liquid Diamonds features Bulgarian Rose, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Peony and Musk.

Sparkling Secret lists Ginger, Sweet Lime, Grapefruit and Vanilla.

Dancing Roses smells of Litchi, Saffron, Cherry Liquor, and Pink Peppercorn.

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Couture Eau De Parfum Intense

Dutch fashion designers Viktor & Rolf have released a new variation on Bonbon (2014) called Bonbon Couture, two years after it was introduced on the catwalks...

The concentration is said to be that of an Eau de Parfum Intense. The blend reprises some of the key notes of the original while adding a more sophisticated blonde tobacco facet.

The bottle shows the continuity of the scent housed in the same bow-shaped fuschia pink bottle while now a mother-of-pearl sheen renews the visual sensation.

The edp opens on juicy notes of mandarin, neroli oil and peach seguing into a heart of orange blossom, Sambac jasmine - and even more caramel than in the first fragrance. The woody base rests on mellow and sweet notes of sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla and blonde tobacco.

Perfumers Cécile Matton and Serge Marjoullier of Mane co-sign the opus just like for the initial Bonbon.

Vaping sillages smelling of candied strawberry and vanilla can be caught on the streets more often nowadays. Traditional tobacco has always had an edible aspect and honey is one of its most iconic aromas. We'll probably see more gourmand tobaccos waft by.

Flowerbomb Rose Explosion de Viktor&Rolf

 

Muitas rosas em um Floral oriental onde o Oud e a baunilha refinam tudo. Verdadeiramente maravilhoso.As notas de topo são Bergamota, Tangerina, Açafrão e Pimenta rosa as notas de coração são Rosa turca, Rosa marroquina, Jasmim e Azeitona as notas de fundo são Patchouli ou Oriza, Âmbar, Agarwood (Oud) e Baunilha. Não é que eu sinto baunilha em tudo, mas quando as fragrâncias femininas tem Oud elas tem baunilha e nosso olfato esta treinado para sentir primeiro a baunilha. Ela se mistura a açafrão e pimenta, de uma forma que deixa um especiado encorpado.As rosa fazem o papel de fundo, como se fosse a paisagem em que é pintada a tela de uma mulher formosa.Ela transparece em todos os sentidos e mesmo com as notas de âmbar deixando a fragrância quente e por causa dela que o adocicado do Oud aparece perfeitamente. O patchouli é algo dispensável nessa fragrância, serve mais para fixar. 

Spicebomb de Viktor&Rolf (2012) por Olivier Polge

Muitos elogios floreiam essa composição dos Designs Viktor&Rolf, por Olivier Polge, porém não é uma fragrância das mais fácies de se indicar.O fator mais relevante aqui é o preço que , apesar de a fragrância ser ótima, esta muito salgado. Spicebomb pode custar mais caro que muitas fragrâncias diferenciadas e por isso é importante gostar muito dessa composição para investir.  Abre com canela, um pouco de cítrico e muita pimenta. Mas calma, o aroma de pimenta é adocicado e não incomoda. Logo surge um toque resinado e um leve floral do açafrão ( intenso e fresco). Nas evoluções para as notas de fundo é que se descobre realmente se vai gostar do perfume, tabaco (picante e adocicado) e Couro ( aqui lembra a cheiro de banco de couro de carro novo). Para completar o Vetiver vem com força deixando o perfume mais amadeirado. É uma fragrância bem masculina que já foi premiada, porém nesse caso, recomendo experimentar antes de comprar.

Viktor & Rolf preparou novas edições limitadas de suas populares fragrâncias Flowerbomb e Spicebomb para as férias de Natal de 2014. Em Novembro, aparecem três novas edições limitadas: Flowerbomb Swarovski Deluxe, Flowerbomb Christmas Edition e Spicebomb Christmas Edition.
