A casa Sisley, conhecida por fragrâncias complexas e ricas, lança um novo perfume feminino no início de 2017 chamado Izia. Izia anuncia-se como uma fragrância moderna, um buquê de caráter sensual e assertivo, apesar de, julgando pelas notas, sua composição tenha uma onda mais clássica do que trendy.

The house of Sisley, known for complex and rich fragrances, launches a new feminine perfume in early in 2017 named Izia. Izia is announced as a modern fragrance, a bouquet of sensual and affirmed character, although, judging by the notes, its composition has a more classic vibe than a trendy one.

Sisley Izia is a "modern, new and multifunctional" perfume with a focus on the note of rose. The composition begins with aldehydes, white bergamot and pink pepper. A rose accord in the "sophisticated"  heart of the perfume is enriched with transparent floral notes and angelica. Amber, musk and cedar form the warm woody-musky base of the fragrance.

Sisley Soir d'Orient: How to be Timeless & New, Delicious yet Not Gourmand (2015)

The latest launch by Sisley, Soir d'Orient, is said to be inspired by a childhood memory of co-founder Isabelle d'Ornano kept from a time when she was visiting the gardens of the Alcatraz in Sevilla. She was then struck by the scent of the Seringas as it intensifies at dusk. This is the magical hour for olfactory sensations, as we know since l'Heure Bleue: the sight diminishes while the sense of smell becomes more sensitive. The new fragrance is also influenced by the notion of "Convivencia", a reference to the multicultural practice of sharing artistic and cultural traditions among cohabiting communities in Mauresque Spain...

Soir d'Orient eau de parfum mixes the sparkling elegance of Eau du Soir (1990) with a new oud mood, and while it could have lazily ended into a forced homage to the unavoidable king perfumery material of the day, it brushes past it, retaining some of its smoky trail while amping up its own delightful and delicious chypre personality (the latter nuance is perhaps new: if the new scent is delicious, it is never gourmand). In other words, it seems as if Soir d'Orient has borrowed some of the intensity and depth from the slow-burn sensation of agarwood but instead of losing itself in it, comes out brighter and more luminous from the encounter. It is, again, as if oakmoss has learnt something from oud but does not give up its own palette of foresty and aromatic sensations, which here are further typified by Iranian galbanum.

This is no voyage to the heart of darkness but rather a cruise on the Nile where you stop, muse and go back to the boat and your certainties, never losing your sea legs. It is a very stable reinterpretation of the original composition which feels at the same time deep enough and well-thought out enough to never come across as unnecessary or contrived. Quite to the contrary, a spark happens, a fruitful detour is taken and the original comes refreshed out of this new encounter which is presented as a floriental chypre by the house.

The composition, originally by perfumer Jeannine Mongin, is a priori a quintessentially elegant chypre perfume, one to be worn at a soirée at the Opera but with no trace of egocentrism to it. By this we mean that if it alludes to the crystal chandeliers and golds of, say, a Palais Garnier, it is no diva or attention-seeking entity itself. It is too well-balanced for that. This is no show-business stage diva but rather the scent of those who go watch and listen eagerly to divas.

To this reviewer, it seemed it had lost some of its lustre when Soir de Lune arrived, by the same house. The latter is such a perfect chypre that Eau du Soir looked a bit pale in comparison to it - and even less refined. Now, thanks to a very mature reworking of its formula, it smells a bit spicier, showcasing a beautiful, noble Turkish rose but it also smells like its own self, ony richer and renewed. All the new nuances are subtle and very well dosed.

If you like a classic - even a timeless - truly qualitative and elegant chypré perfume, both dry and lush, this is one to put on top of your wish list.

Sisley Soir de Lune Édition Limitée 2015

The elegant, rich and modern chypre - floral fragrance from Sisley,Soir de Lune, was made in 2006. This fall, Sisley is launching a limited edition of Soir de Lune in a new light. The new packaging in midnight blue with silver accents is signed by Isabelle d'Ornano.

“Like a promise of love, stars turn into diamonds and, with their silvery shimmer, illuminate the emblematic bottle of Soir de Lune, which has been dressed for the occasion in midnight blue and platinum, bringing new spirit to the design, revisited by Isabelle d’Ornano.”

The scent is composed of top notes of mandarin, bergamot, lemon, nutmeg, coriander and pimento. May rose, mimosa, jasmine, lily of the valley, iris and peach form the heart of the perfume. The base features moss, honey, musk, sandalwood, cedar and Indonesian patchouli.

The newly designed edition is available as 100 ml Eau de Parfum at the price of 228 Euros in only 6,000 pieces.

Meu primeiro sisley foi soir de Lune que eu simplesmente detestei, Logo comprei o Eau de Sysley 02, simplorio, tinha desistido da Sisley quando conheci essa fragrância. Madura,discreta,máscula e distinta. Abre com notas cítricas que logo evoluem para notas verdes e amadeirada, um toque de lentisco deixa a fragrância mais seca e especiada e se misturam com Jasmim e Iris.Um fundo amadeirado ambarado e ainda muito verde fecham a composição. É um perfume seco, sério e elegante.O aroma que você sente após um tempo é o de folhas frescas e madeira. As últimas notas me lembram de sabonete liquido de Muru Muru. Adoro!
