Diana Vreeland Full Gallop (2016)

 

In 2016, Diana Vreeland Parfums added a new storied perfume to its lineup launched in 2014. It's called Full Gallop, which in this case celebrates the famed fashion editor's love of dance...

The composition is signed by master perfumer Carlos Benaïm of IFF (International Flavors & Fragrances.) The eau de parfum rests on the main idea of a pas de deux between heliotrope and iris (orris).

First, heliotrope and orris open up the scent leading the way to notes of Moroccan jasmine, coriander, pepper, osmanthus, amber and musk.

Full Gallop is also the title of a play which re-imagines the life of Vreeland four months after she was fired from Vogue and just before she accepted the offer to work at the MET Costume Institute as a consultant.

A coleção de perfumes de Diana Vreeland adiciona uma nona edição,Vivaciously Bold que chega ao mercado no início de Fevereiro de 2016. A fragrância sucede as edições do ano passado Darlingly Different, Devastatingly Chic e Smashingly Brilliant. A coleção de Diana Vreeland foi iniciada pelo neto de Diana, Alexandar Vreeland, em 2014 altura em que ele publicou um livro dedicado a Diana, chamado "Diana Vreeland Memos".

A vida, estilo e extravagância da famosa colunista e editora da Harper's Bazaar Diana Vreeland (1903 - 1989) são refletidos em cada uma de suas criações que celebram o seu caráter; em cada fragrância uma parte de sua personalidade é revelada.

O frasco do novo perfume Vivaciously Bold foi criado com a cor de uma pedra peridoto e embelezado com uma borla azul em torno do pescoço. O perfumista Carlos Benaim tornou a elegante nota de vetiver muito luxuosa ao misturá-la cuidadosamente com ingredientes selecionados. As notas de topo apresentam um coquetél de citrinos - toranja, limão e bergamota - que são especiados com pimenta para acrescentar um toque amargo e fresco. Um inesperado frescor vem das suaves texturas de jasmim sambac e das fortes notas de petitgrain no coração. O vetiver aparece na base da fragrância, apoiado com patchouli e abraçado pelo sedutor e sensual almíscar.

The collection of perfumes by Diana Vreeland adds the ninth edition,Vivaciously Bold which arrives on the market in early February 2016. The fragrance succeeds last year’s editions Darlingly Different, Devastatingly Chic and Smashingly Brilliant. The collection by Diana Vreeland was initiated by Diana’s grandson, Alexandar Vreeland, in 2014 when he also published a book dedicated to Diana, called "Diana Vreeland Memos".

The life, style and extravagance of the famous columnist and editor of Harper's Bazaar Diana Vreeland (1903 - 1989) are reflected in each of her creations which celebrate her character; with each fragrance a part of her personality is revealed.

The flacon of the new perfume Vivaciously Bold was created in the color of a peridot gem and embellished with a dark blue tassel around the neck. Perfumer Carlos Benaim makes the elegant vetiver note very luxurious by blending it carefully with selected ingredients. Top notes are provided with a cocktail of citruses - grapefruit, lemon and bergamot -which are spiced up with pepper to add a bitter and cold spicy twist.  Unexpected freshness originates from soft textures of sambac jasmine and strong notes of petitgrain in the heart. Vetiver appears in the base of the fragrance, supported with patchouli and embraced by seductive and sensual musk.

Diana Vreeland Smashingly Brilliant

New fragrance Smashingly Brilliant joins the collection by Diana Vreeland as a very refreshing citrusy edition playing on contrasts. The citrusy blend with aromatic herbs surrounded with deep shades characteristic of warm texture of the base. Smashingly Brilliant arrives in a glass flacon of the same form as previous editions of the collection in a royal blue color.

The composition of the fragrance Smashingly Brilliant opens with a tart, luminous union of lemon oil and Calabrian bergamot. They continue with aromatic juniper berries, basil and lemon verbena notes. Unique, tart shades of geranium are characteristic of the heart of the fragrance blended with suede from the base, leaving a subtle and soft trail. Precious and deep notes are provided by woody notes in drydown of the composition. The perfumer of the composition is Clement Gavarry who was inspired by Diana Vreeland’s love of the island of Capri.
