Profumi D’Amore: Three New Fragrances by Roja Dove

Today, Roja Dove will present his first collection of this year: the Profumi D'Amorecollection, in which we meet three perfumes, each illustrating one of the stages of love - its beginning (Amore Mio), its declaration (Ti Amo) and the recognition of the feelings that will last forever (Un Amore Eterno). The packaging of the new line repeats the features of previous collections, but the crystals on the cap this time are painted in scarlet - just like the outer box.

For this collection, Roja Dove found inspiration in the stories of Casanova and his famous hot chocolate, to which the legendary lover added amber - a no less famous aphrodisiac. Thus, the base of these new fragrances include notes of ambergris,vanilla and cocoa, as well as orris and ginger, famous for its stimulation properties.

The first fragrance of the new collection, Amore Mio, is described as very soft, creamy and floral, with an oriental touch. It begins with notes of bergamot andmandarin, which are transformed into a heart of rose, gardenia, neroli, orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, cistus, heliotrope and violet. In the base we can find shades of ginger, pink pepper, cinnamon, cumin, saffron, gurjun balsam, patchouli,rum, cedar, guaiac, sandalwood, vanilla, cocoa, tonka bean, carrot seed, orris andcopaiba balm.

After love's beginning, it is followed by a continuation in the form of Ti Amo, which in the official press release is compared to the tenderness of a love declaration. It starts with a citrus accord, in which you can distinguish bergamot and tangerine. Further notes are lily, rose, orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang, heliotrope and pineapple. In the base we encounter intense shades of galbanum, ginger, pink pepper, saffron,cinnamon, cumin, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood and guaiac. Besides these, the pyramid contains vanilla, cocoa, carrot seeds, tonka bean, ambergris, cistus andorris.

The third fragrance of the collection, Un Amore Eterno, is notable for its wonderful tenderness of ginger and iris; this perfume literally "radiates passion", as the PR department of the brand states. The story of eternal love begins with a citrus accord, after which it continues with a classic "feminine" heart of rose, jasmine, tuberose,heliotrope and violet, and flows into the oriental aromatic base, where we find notes ofcloves, saffron, patchouli, cashmere wood, coffee, musk and white cedar. Just like in the other two editions of the collection the aphrodisiac mix (cocoa, ginger, amber, vanilla, orris) was added.

This collection will be available from today

in the flagship boutique of Roja Dove in London's Burlington Arcade

and in Harrods department store for the price of 375 pounds each (or £ 950 for a set).

Roja Parfums is ready for Christmas and the joyful season of gifts: the house of the well known master perfumer Roja Dove (also fragrance expert, perfumery academic, historian and author) releases a number of new products dedicated to the upcoming holidays, and most of these novelties are made exclusively for the Haute Parfumerieboutique, located on the sixth floor of Harrods. 

The first of them is a new animalic perfume called Great Britain, where the main leathery theme is supported by notes of labdanum and castoreum, and combined with undertones of rose, jasmine, cedar wood, bergamot, lemon and sage. This unisex perfume  is available in a 100 ml bottle at the cost of £1,250 (shipping covers only England territory, though). This is not a sole English "curtsey" of the house: they already  created some works exclusively for Harrods in the past

 

Besides the Great Britain fragrance, Roja Parfums also launched three scented candles. First of all the holiday edition Essence of Christmas,  a limited edition exclusively for Haute Parfumerie in Harrods, which brings the fitting notes of spices and pine and is placed in a signed matte black glass holder with a golden cap.Additionally, Roja Parfums presents two candles belonging to the regular, "white" collection of the brand, named Figuier, with notes of fig, and Baies, with berries.

H Aoud arrives in a luxurious, transparent flacon with a cap with Swarovski crystals in emerald green color. Its composition provides an unusual blend of gurjum, cypriol (nagarmotha) and valerian, with an aim to enable warmth and depth to accords of patchouli, vetiver and oud wood. Refreshment in the composition is brought by bergamot, geranium, rose and jasmine, while a spicy twist originates from nutmeg and oregano. Additional warmth is provided by labdanum and benzoin combined with birch tree, as an additional decoration to the floral-spicy heart of the composition.
