Salvador Dali's fragrance collection introduces a new part of its history, Dali Haute Parfumerie. Five new fragrances continue the story of the great surrealist, inspired by his jewellery line and made by Alberto Morillas, creator of the first Dali perfume which was dedicated to the artist's wife, Gala.
Jean-Pierre Grivory, head ofCofinluxe company (holder of the license for both Dali lines and several other brands), reports that new collection is a response to the artist's desire to return perfumery the lost status of luxury.
According to him, the idea of making a line like this occurred during the life of Dali, but the time for it appeared only now, nearly 17 years after the acquisition of jewelry items by "Gala-Salvador Dali" fund.

For the first five eaux de parfum symbols were chosen which Dali appreciated and widely used: an eye (Regard Scintillant de Mille Beautes), butterfly (Voyage Onirique du Papillon de Vie), goblet (Calice de la Seduction Eternelle), hand (Melodie du Cygne de la Main) and the clock (Fluidite du Temps Imaginaire).
A restrained, mature rose oriental fragrance with subtle tangerine bitterness and a smooth, relaxed opening.
Inspiration: brooch "The Eye of Time", created in 1949 as a gift to Gala Dali. The outer boundaries of the product are encrusted with diamonds, in the corner of the "eye" is a ruby cabochon cut, and in the middle is a Swiss clockwork.
Notes: Turkish rose, mandarin, American ambrette, cedar, musk
A bright composition with white flowers, noticeable tuberose and light citrus notes, stable over time.
Inspiration: a golden cup "Chalice of Life" (1965), which symbolizes rebirth and transformation of the soul, and inspired by the Spanish chalice of St. Teresa of Avila.
Notes: Indian tuberose, lily, orange flower, cedar, white musk, neroli
An astringent pachouli chocolate fragrance with a classic heart from rose and ylang.
Inspiration: brooch "Tristan and Isolde", made of gold, where male and female profiles form a cup with ruby drink, a symbol of eternal love.
Notes: jasmine, ylang-ylang, cedar, rose, orange, Haitian vetiver, labdanum, amber, vanilla, Indonesian patchouli
An amazing iris fragrance with doughy texture and delicate, melancholic lilac and violets.
Inspiration: "Leaf veined hand" (1949), inspired by the myth of the love of Zeus and Leda.
Notes: bergamot, violet, iris, orange flower, sandalwood, praline, vanilla
A recognizable floral-aquatic composition that opens by layers: from the futuristic to the sugar jasmine, tuberose and oily sandalwood.
Inspiration: piece "The Persistence of Memory" (1949), version of the eponymous jewelry inspired by Salvador Dali's painting, made of gold, encrusted with diamonds and decorated with drops of black enamel.
Notes: jasmine, bergamot, tuberose, saffron, bourbon vanilla, sandalwood
The fragrance collection is released in eau de parfum concentration in bottles of 100 ml, decorated with gold symbols of jewelry works of Salvador Dali; each costs about 500 US dollars.
