PREMIERE NOTE Ambre Kashmir and Himalayan Oud

Premiere Note at Pitti Fragranze 2015

The French niche house PREMIERE NOTE introduced themselves in September 2015 at the art perfume exhibition in Florence  - PITTI FRAGRANZE - and at PARIS PARFUMS RARES in Paris. Their first collection was introduced in 2014, made up of five fragrances under the name Collection of Emotions, but now the house presented a new collection, First Woods, including the woodsy fragrances Ambre Kashmir and Himalayan Oud, both inspired by editions from the Middle East and dedicated to fans of rich oriental notes. The two new perfumes within the First Woods collection are offered in gold colored cylindrical flacons, whereas the first five editions of the Collection of Emotions have transparant cylindrical flacons crowned with a golden cap. I must say that the expo stands of the PREMIERE NOTEhouse stood out at both exhibitions and that the simplicity and luxury of the bottles of this house proudly could represent flacon design in perfumery in general.

Both new editions of the house are unisex, but if I chose my personal favorite, it would be Ambre Kashmir, because it is very wearable and beautifully tailored to highlight the warmth of resins and creamy elements of wood within ‘zest’ of mandarins and nectarines. Himalayan Oud has the same quality and is addresses at fans of agar wood, which truly offers a wide range of shades. I really enjoy a top quality perfume with an amber topic, particularly if it is composed with a hedonistic signature and comfortable for wear. In this composition, comfort is enabled by cinnamon, mandarin and nectarine in the beginning, leaving a characteristic impression of a pricy alcoholic beverage, slightly sparkling and very intoxicating and juicy. Warm resin cuddles us in soft blankets by the fire, while leather with patchouli provides depth and strength to the edition which truly exudes opulence and tranquility.

Himalayan Oud is another hot oud on the market which is specifically cooled with tartness of saffron and cumin. The base notes of patchouli, vetiver and cedar support he composition which begins with juicy and vibrant scents, while it becomes calmer with time and shows its strong ‘dry’ and extremely woody face. Both new editions are very intense and provide a wide aura, but my skin and my nose particularly favors Ambre Kashmir, which in my opinion works best in cold weather and snow.

The first five fragrances of the niche brand PREMIERE NOTE (Orange Calabria, Lys Toscana, Rosa Damas, Cedar Atlas, Java Wood) were launched in July 2014 and created by Melanie Leroux. Perfumer Jerome di Marino signed the two new editions, Ambre Kashmir and Himalayan Oud.

Himalayan Oud "Driven by the wind, capricious clouds blur as I am going forward a humid and misty forest. A delicate moss ground slows down my rythm. Around me ferns spread out in fan, tropical pines and wild rhododendrons invite me to follow hem. Disconcerted by a divine woody trail, I venture to a green maze, in pursuit of this sacred tree. Its perfumed, wild and captivating resin transports me out of time. Oud from Himalaya".

Ambre Kashmir and Himalayan Oud are available in 100ml Eau de Parfum. According to the house of Premiere Note, fragrance Ambre Kashmir goes perfectly with fragrances Cedar Atlas and Orange Calabria, while perfume Himalayan Oudcan be combined with Rosa Damas and Orange Calabria.
