NEW FRAGRANCES FROM LES MERVEILLES COLLECTION PRESENTED AT ESXENCE 2015:
Boheme is scent. Fragments of surrounding smells weaving a tale together. They have not one but several lives. |
A tribute to the post-war era of the great balls set in the Palazzo Labia, in Venezia. Painted as an olfactory Neo-Romanticism to depict real-world things: rose, davana, precious woods. The perfume evolves, becomes sentimental and grand. |
LUNEA
Ambery Oriental Olfactory Notes candied mandarin • neroli • myrrhe • marzipan rose • toffee • franchincense • precious woods • musk Like theatrical works, like a masquerade, it performs. An olfactory portrait of the breathless High Desert (Sierra Nevada California), under the blue hour. Both dawn and dusk are stimulating for creativity, times when the waning indigo twilight sets in motion.
A perpetual impetus of ephemeral shades to keep our minds and eyes wide open. It is a stirring invitation to plunge deep
into reality sensuous depth, to marvel again and again at the beauty of the world. |
The just scent for the sartorial vernacular of the modern man, the musk of course, the resins, the balms, the woods ... that makes the perfume direct, frank and readable. The fragrance evokes a range of cultural archetypes: the bohemian, the socialites, the intellectual, the engaged and the dandy. |
PRECIOUS FOREST Woodsy Oriental Olfactory Notes citrus notes • galbanum • spice • rose • violet • plum patchouli • teak wood • sandalwood • incense • ambery notes It is entering the space of organic smell of woods, the living trees, rare timber and what lies beneath. A time punctuated as much by its difference as by any tiny moments that happen there. The soil seems to slip away under one's steps and transports one through a surreal motion, to pass from one place - sandalwood, oudh, to another - incense and balms, and pass back into that olfactory space.
The scent is potent. It seems to almost ‘speak’ to us in a low voice because what we ‘hear’ is about our own memories,
contemplation, and reconcilliation. |
The scent is sketched from an aesthetic drawn from Hollywood’s golden age and of the 60s. A rare and precious ingredient with an impressive life force. The buds of the first blooming of the rose of Grasse.
The olfactory density of the scent corresponds to the impression that the blossoming flower is worn.
But who is this Velourosa?
