Trust Guerlain to come up with extra luxuriant perfume editions destined for the special occasions in a woman's (or man's) life. Without doubt, the day of one's wedding is one such occasion and although Guerlain is not short of many delightful fragrance choices to pick from to commemorate the day for days and years to come (and that's a lovely tradition to pick up!), they have recently decided to issue a special "wedding" scent for this.
Romantically named Le Bouquet de la Mariée ("the bride's bouquet," in reference to the bouquet that becomes the symbol of the day and the event) the new extrait de parfum is gorgeously held inside the classic quadrilobe bottle by Guerlain, with a delicate lace frame around the name and faux white flowers topping the neck.
The composition is delicate and romantic as a bride would desire for this special day, with notes of angelica (for a natural musky note), citrus and pink pepper for freshness, orange blossom, rose, sugared almonds (dragées) for the wedding reference, incense, patchouli, white musk and vanilla. The big quadrilobe is priced accordingly to the choicest limited editions of the luxury line.
Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie ("the most beautiful day in my life") is the Eau de Parfum version of the same scent that comes in the simpler bottle with the poof retro atomizer which also held Les Secrets de Sophie and Le Bolshoi, this time fittingly presented in pink.
The price is competitive and much more approachable, and we're assured that only the concentration differs, with the extrait being of course the much more lasting one.
