Baruti, Perfume House From Amsterdam

Spyros Drosopoulos is an independent perfumer from Amsterdam (Nethrlands), who introduced his first perfume collection at the latest Fragranze in Florence. I remember some of his perfumes as very abstract compositions which nevertheless appeal to sensations and images many people would recall and gladly accept as something nice they have lived through.

For example, the perfume Indigo is a meditation under the deep dark blue skies, when early evening makes everything smoother outside of the window, and you feel cozy and secure in your room, and a little bit romantic, because it is a nice evening. You want to feel and smell the big city. Most probably your picture will be different, but Indigo would dispose you for a light melancholic dreamy mood, a sweet meditation in a cozy enviroment from your memory.

Initially, Spyros wanted to house his scent in triangle bottles, but we know now he has chosen a more conventional shape.

One of the perfumes is named NoOud. It is a perfumer's joke and challenge. Spyros created an oud fragrance without oud, not even a drop. I smelled the perfume and I might admit it smells like an oud fragrance. Of course, we have so many versions of oud on the market, but at some point we all know and are able to recognize it in a perfume.

Now I would like the perfumer talk about his creations.

INDIGO
Radiating blue summer skies, continuous music, and effervescent big-city life.

Indigo notes: Mastic oil (Chios), Hyacinth, Rose (Greece), Frankincense (Oman), Cedar (Atlas), Sandalwood, NOOUD, Amber.

INDIGO (BERLIN IM WINTER rmx)
Long cold winter nights, intimate and cozy.

Berlin im Winter notes: Lavender (Greece), Mastic oil (Chios), Rose (Greece), Iris, Cassis, Plum, Myrrh, Frankincense (Oman), Irish Coffee, NOOUD, Amber, Leather.

VOYANCE
Smoke, luminous and limpid, a mystifying paradox.

Voyance notes: Tuberose, Guiac wood, Vetiver, Sandalwood and Musk.

CHAI
Delicious Indian masala chai.

Chai notes: Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Cardamom, Pepper, Black Tea, Steamed Milk, Cocoa, Roses, Vanilla, Musk, Leather.

MELKMEISJE
Inspired by Johannes Vermeer's famous painting "The Milkmaid," this is a very Dutch affair indeed. Encapsulates the promises of early summer.

Melkmeisje notes: Pear, Lilac, Linden blossom, Honey, Orris root, Vanilla, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Musk.

NOOUD

Opulent and sexy. Smells of oud but doesn't contain
a single drop and that's the naked truth.
