The Launch of EDGE by J. Junaid Jamshed Fragrances

J. Fragrances has launched their first fragrance of 2015, EDGE for men. "Edge was composed by keeping in view the warm weather of Pakistan which will make the wearer feel fresh and energetic all day. It is a fragrance that men would love to keep in their fragrance wardrobe all year round to be worn everyday," says Junaid Ur Rehman, Manager of Business Development (Perfume Division).

J. Junaid Jamshed used very unusual and rare materials in order to create its new perfume EDGE that evokes the sense of timeless freedom and calmness. Edge is a universal Eau de Parfum (EDP) which is perfect for any occasion. Its dark matte effect bottle with dark brown leather cap is a collector’s delight along with its refreshing juice.

Notes Description: 
EDGE is a woody aquatic fragrance with yuzu in its top notes, along with bergamot, lemon and tarragon. In the heart it has a spicy and woody touch: nutmeg and water lily are exciting and unexpected accords in this composition. Base notes contain an intense woody scent which is sharp and enriched with tobacco, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and musk.

Edge begins with refreshing citric notes that hold the show even when the fragrance travels towards the heart. It becomes delicately spicy with a slight bitterness of citrus peel which comes from bergamot, lemon and yuzu in the head notes. When it meets the base, it is a bit leathery, a little spicy and still with accompanying citric notes. On the whole, the citruses wrap up the fragrance from the beginning to end. That being said, it also allows the other notes to make their presence felt in the composition but in the presence of citruses. And when I said it smelled a bit leathery in the base, it absolutely does which, I figured out, is due to tobacco and vetiver. I would pick out vetiver the most because to my nose its scent is akin to leather and with citruses it does make it
smell so. The lasting power is 5+ hours and I would rate it 8/10.

Just as with its refreshing composition, equal attention has been given to the bottle design which absolutely wins a word of praise. It is dark matte with an elegant drak brown leather cap.
