Elie Saab La Collection des Essences: Vetiver and Neroli

Elie Saab released La Collection des Essences, a couture-inspired luxury line highlighting classic perfume ingredients, in 2014. The initial launch included four editions—Essence No. 1 Rose, Essence No. 2 Gardenia, Essence No. 3 Ambre andEssence No. 4 Oud. La Collection des Essence receives two new editions this spring: Essence No. 6 Vetiver and Essence No. 7 Neroli, both composed by Kurkdjian.

Vetiver is a unisex fragrance born from Elie Saab's desire for a scent that he could wear himself. Essence No. 6 Vetiver offers an elegant woody spicy aroma and features both Haitian and Javanese vetiver, with Calabrian bergamot and grapefruit for levity, along with woody shades of papyrus and spicy cloves.

Orange blossoms perfume the air in Elie Saab's native Lebanon, on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. Orange blossom, also called Neroli, is a key component of the original and highly successful Elie Saab Le Parfum fragrance, as well as its lighter companion, Elie Saab Le Parfum Eau de Toilette and truly, all of the fragrance flankers of the original scent. Essence No. 7 Neroli continues the Mediterranean and orange blossom theme and features orange blossoms sourced from Lebanon.
