Puredistance, the fragrance house owned by founded by Jan Ewoud Vos tries to offer with their perfumes as many faces and inspirations as possible, along as to translate deep emotions and desires into compositions that will connect together into one whole regardless of the perfumer who signs them. The house was originally presented with the fragrance Puredistance I, followed by Antonia and M. After them, fragranceOpardu was launched, and last year fragrance Black, which poses contrast to the latest edition White by its name and composition.

Puredistance team sent the first samples of fragrance White to perfume bloggers and journalist, with an aim to share the joy of the new edition, and to hear different impressions to help them view their composition in a different manner. As they say: "The release of a new Perfume is always a big thing in our company. First because we only release a new Perfume every one or two years, secondly because the diversity and richness of the reactions and reviews we get from you always give such depth and detail to our Perfumes.
Each of the perfumes told its story and created special images and colors that we connected with compositions. Opardu was green, floral and very romantic in my mind,Antonia white-gold, charming and sophisticated, while M is ultra-masculine, fiery and irresistibly sexy. Last year’s perfume Black makes us think of darkness, but regardless of black it awakes us with bitter taste of pepper and hotness of leather. If Black is the night, White is the dawn, it is luminous and bathed in the first rays of sun, awakening us with the sense of peace, safety and freedom.
The creators and perfumer Antoine Lie wanted to convey the feeling of happiness and dream of gold with the new composition. How to describe the feeling of happiness with a composition? On my skin, the fragrance is not overtly radical, just like Black, but a powdery cloud floating very close above the skin. Powdery notes remind me of baby's skin, soft, warm and silky, of its baths and scented foam of shampoo. Powdery notes combined with iris root, which also leaves a powdery trace are lit with citruses and green notes which provide enough freshness that gives the impression of luminosity of morning and light coming from the morning sun. I do not feel rose as prominent but only its echo that provides femininity to the composition.
Warm and the carefree feeling of the composition come from creamy sandalwood, which is on my skin keynote of the editions, in addition to powder. Lately, there have been more and more compositions that include solar notes (sunny notes), and in this case they would perfectly describe the effect that this fragrance leaves on the skin. The combination of green notes, flowers and citruses successfully created the effect of morning sun and dew that shine and relax our senses and trigger a feeling of happiness. |
During the development of fragrance, powdery cloud replaces hot creamy notes of tonka bean and wood and a cuddly trail lingers on the skin, over which still hangs juiciness of flowers and citrus juices. The sweetness is well-dosed, sophisticated and moderate. It reminds me of fine marzipan carefully added to sweeten the "happiness".
Key notes that can be noticed on my skin are powdery notes, sandalwood, green notes and sweet musk. If I had to choose my favorites among perfumes by Puredistance that would be the irresistibly sexy Puredistance M and the latest, feminine, carefree Puredistance White.
One could say that White is one of those "safe scent" editions which will appeal to a wider population, but its "drinkability" is beautiful and highly refined. Trend of candied gourmet editions and popularization of Arab and distinctly oriental fragrances that "splash" mainstream perfumery really lacks in more carefree and feminine powdery clouds of iris that are sufficient for many smiles by subtly highlighting beautiful emotions and to paint our day with joy. The wish of Puredistance team is to provide their users with a simultaneous, direct feeling of happiness, which comes from pure perfume! And the harmony provided by that clean, honest and simple feeling of happiness today is very difficult to achieve, especially by high quality perfume composition. We are swamped with numerous information, which are often totally useless for us and our life, fogging the most precious thing, and these are the feelings of peace, happiness and serenity.

The dream of happiness or dream in white and gold is a kind of rebellion against the global negativity in the world. The very composition will bring smiles to fans of the perfume fans and trigger positive feelings. And it's not just my feeling. I would not list fragrance White into scents for festive occasions and fragrances created exclusively for special moments, but would characterize it as a fragrance that is driving the force of happiness. It is suitable for wedding and for theater, but also for work, and walking every morning, that would awake positive feelings and brought comfort and beauty with the first cup of coffee.
White arrives in white flacons with golden cap, as 17,5ml perfume extrait, as well as 60 and 100ml perfume extrait in black color, in beige leather case. Suggested prices in Europe: 165 eur for 17,5ml; 275 eur for 60ml and 490 eur for 100ml.
The new fragrance PUREDISTANCE WHITE will be offered for a test to visitors of the fair Esxence in Milan held March 26th -29th 2015, where Puredistance will exhibit their perfume collection. Puredistance White will be launched officially at the upcoming perfume expo – according to Puredistance team, and it will arrive in stores end April 2015.
