THE SPIRIT OF DUBAI: Abraj, Bahar, Meydan, Oud and Rimal

THE SPIRIT OF DUBAI is a new collection of luxurious fragrances that represents Dubai and its various faces making the city as it is now. Dubai is an international symbol of wealth and progress and its fragrances made by Nabeel companyillustrate the spirit of this magnificent capital perfectly. The fragrances were made of top quality ingredients and were packed in luxurious flacons. The finest materials and techniques were used when designing the flacons and outer cartons. The flacons arrive in leather cases which accentuate the sophistication and precious notes of the compositions.

The collection encompasses five fragrances: Abraj (inspired by sparkling skyscrapers, modern architecture, luxurious hotels, where the skyline contrasts dunes and desert), Rimal (inspired by hot sand, desert and sand dunes), Oud (inspired by the traditional scent of Arabia), Bahar (inspired by the Dubai coast, long sandy beaches and sea air) and Meydan (inspired by Meydan, a meeting point).

Abraj provides a fabulous mixture of bergamot, saffron and cardamom announcing cedar and red roses in the heart of the composition, while base notes highlight amber, patchouli and musk. The luminous lights of skyscrapers are depicted in metallic details on the bottle and the combination of glass and metal.

Rimal creates irresistible harmony by mixing hot spices: saffron, cinnamon and nutmeg by illuminating them with bergamot. The heart of the fragrance depicts the heat and mystery of the desert by accords of patchouli and ylang-ylang while the base features woody notes of sandalwood and vetiver, leaving a sensual, creamy effect on the skin. The bottle is decorated with golden color details and contains a golden color stopper alluding at hot shades and glittering desert sand.

Oud is a fragrance which celebrates the tradition of Arabic scents and presents the Orient in a perfect way. Its composition starts juicy, with pineapple and lime zest, combined with pine tree and saffron. As the fragrance develops, floral notes of jasmine are combined with cedar, while the focus of the composition lies on pure Indian oud oil, which decorates the heart of the fragrance. Base notes provide depth and strength by blending sandalwood and patchouli. The bottom part of the bottle is decorated with wood and it marks the woody theme of the edition and accentuates the precious character of agar.

Meydan opens with a symphony of saffron, bergamot and lavender, followed by geranium, cedar and tobacco. The base incorporates warm, masculine aromas of patchouli and leather, leaving a strong impression full of character. The bottle is colored in an emerald green color of leather with a horse shoe, typical of Arabic horses running magnificently in a gallop to the hippodrome.

Bahar provides the scent of the sea and illustrates relaxation on the long sandy beaches of Dubai. This is an aquatic fragrance that skilfully blends sea aromas with citruses in top notes, leaving an impression of freshness and intoxicating salty accords in the air, that relax all our senses. The composition is characterized by elegant jasmine flowers, combined with violet leaves and spiced delicately with a mixture of fine spices. The base is embellished with sandalwood and soft vanilla. The bottle is created to accentuate the tranquility of the ocean, while white leather with engravings accentuates the foam of the waves.

The collection was presented exclusively at Esxence 2015 in Milan. It is available as Eau de Parfum. The fragrances were introduced in 2015.
