Dior Parfums are introducing a new perfume ritual - not just a new scent - with J'Adore Touche de Parfum...
The idea for this specially studied formula is to serve as base or canvas for the other J'Adore iterations. You put a drop or two on your skin then spray on your favorite version of J'Adore onto it. In this manner, you are invited to customize the J'Adore perfumes.
This goes in the direction sought by Guerlain as well currently of offering a more personal perfume experience albeit differently by putting a name of your choosing on their new Mon Exclusif. Both brands are owned by the LVMH luxury group. It sounds like the two sides of a consumer experiment in luxury: the olfactive side and the semantic side.
Touche de Parfum is a blend featuring sandalwood essence from Sri Lanka, sambac jasmine absolute from India and rose damascena absolute.
François Demachy, the in-house, head perfumer for Dior said,
"J'Adore Touche de Parfum is an invitation to own J'Adore, to personalize it by following your whim and creating a "custom-made" fragrance." (Our translation.)
Price: 93€ for 20 ml.
Launch date is set for Sept. 21, 2015.
