In August 2015, classic British fragrance house Floris releasedJermyn Street Eau de Parfum, a unisex green citrus fragrance inspired by the brand's home for nearly 300 years, 89 Jermyn Street in London.
Also home to famed shirtmakers such as Pink and Charles Tyrwhitt, luxury goods brands such as Alfred Dunhill, and barbers Trumper and Taylor of Old Bond Street, Jermyn Street has been dressing and grooming British gentlemen for more than a century. As the oldest English retailer of fragrances, Floris has hung its hat at 89 Jermyn Street ever since its founder, Juan Famenias Floris, established the business in 1730.
A fragrance of understated class and style, Jermyn Street pays tribute to the elegance and excitement of the celebrated street in the 21st century, with a nod to the Jermyn Street of Juan Famenias Floris' time. Drawing on notes of gin and old copper stills, with a splash of lemon, the citrus and green notes blend with vetiver, a chord that runs through the fragrance from top to base. Vetiver in the heart blends with juniper and coriander (echoing the gin theme) as well as armoise (artemisia), a woody-green aroma recalling the popular London plane trees, one of which still stands in front of the store. Vetiver in the base is entwined with amber, cedar and musk, which together impart a note of crisp cotton, inspired by the many shirtmakers who have taken up residence on Jermyn Street over the years.
Top notes: bergamot, mandarin orange, vetiver and violet
Middle notes: coriander, vetiver, armoise and juniper berries.
Base notes: amber, cedarwood, musk and vetiver.
