Thierry Mugler has introduced the Nordstrom-exclusive Les Exceptions Cuir Impertinent, a new addition to the Les Exceptions series launched in 2014. The new composition, Cuir Impertinent, is announced as an addictive, surprising blend of smoky leather nuances, fine spices and warm amber, which brings a completely original olfactory experience.
THIERRY MUGLER LES EXCEPTIONS CUIR IMPERTINENT opens up with unexpected spicy notes of star anise, leading on to aromatic tobacco nuances in the heart. The base notes emphasize leather warmed with amber. Leather, which is a classic ingredient in perfumery, brings to mind Russia and the galloping cavalcades of Siberian horsemen. .
"I like leather notes and how sensually they linger in the wake of a fragrance. I thought it would be interesting to combine such a powerful base note with a touch of star anise. This novel accord creates a harmony of contrasts. The aromatic aniseed freshness of this spice plays a big role in enhancing certain aspects of the leather. Star anise acts as an agent of green freshness, adding nuances to the dark and sensual depth of the leather," said Jean-Christophe Herault.
