Miu Miu Debuts An Eau De Parfum - And What's The Difference With Prada?

Miu Miu have launched their debut perfume clearly labeled so as Miu Miu eau de parfum...

The composition is described as a green and woody floral. It is signed by perfumer Daniela Andrier of Givaudan working in collaboration with artistic director Miuccia Prada.

Andrier creates the perfumes for Prada - she is de facto their in-house nose having made her mark initially on the house most publicized olfactory style with Infusion d'Iris (2007). So what is the difference between the style you might expect from a Prada fragrance and a Miu Miu one when the same people decide to work on a sister brand? Miuccia Prada explained the difference once to System Magazine when talking about fashion and her creative process saying that,

"Designing for me is a very complex process. There are many ideas that I want to express in one object, very often contradictory. The creative process in Miu Miu is completely different from that of Prada. Miu Miu is not as complicated and though out as Prada. Rather than being young, Miu Miu is immediate. Prada is very sophisticated and considered; Miu Miu is much more naïve. The solution, when I am working on Miu Miu, has to come immediately, instinctively, spontaneously with whatever is available at the moment. If I think three times, I stop." [Via Business of Fashion]
