In mid-2015, with Sesto Senso and Miss Tranchant, Hilde Soliani introduced two completely new collections, while her irresistible rose-themed fragrance Rosa Visionaria belongs to the Gli Invisibili collection. After playing with butter in the composition of Buon Pranzo fragrance, Hilde offers another epicurean delight that won’t leave any true gourmand feeling unimpressed. This year, she presents Miss Tranchant that continues the gourmand saga in a completely irresistible way – blending the notes of oysters. As Hilde can’t do without attractive, juicy, punctuating creations, her Sesto Sesto fragrance is spiced up with syrupy fruit juices, and intoxicating and seductive tuberose flowers. All three fragrances are designed in different olfactory directions, but each of them carries a distinctive and recognizable signature of its creator - Hilde Soliani.
In an interview with Hilde I learned more about the new creations and the project she works on with plenty of love and passion. Rosa Visionaria is one of the new fragrances dedicated to roses, so she places it to the Gli Invisibili collection. Her visionary rose is modern and made of many different types of roses, transmitting a very specific impression of being in the Garden of Eden, surrounded by blooming roses and their airy and vibrant scent. As Hilde explains: “Rosa Visionaria, from my Gli Invisibili collection, offers a modern cocktail of roses, most notably the Damascus rose. The fragrance conveys a feeling of walking through the imaginary, non-existing, rose gardens of the paradise. They are invisible, but you can feel them. The fragrance offers a very sophisticate composition.”
Sesto Senso is another novelty from Hilde’s kitchen. The fragrance belongs to the Disco collection, which is inspired by a discotheque that Hilde visited in her youth. The club is located on Lake Garda in Italy. As she describes it, the club is very small, but extremely luxurious! It used to be visited by famous people from all around the world, and distinguished for its excellent selection of music. “Sesto Senso is the first in a series of fragrances of the Disco collection, which is inspired by the old Sesto Senso discotheque on Lake Grada. The disco club was populated only by the international jet-set. I remember meeting the Formula 1 drivers, Miss Italy, some famous Italian actors, and many others. I also remember that I was in love with a famous Italian doctor at the time. To even be able to go inside, you had to have the most fashionable clothes. The drinks were fantastic, and the music was excellent. We were carrying large bags with even more wardrobe, for a quick change of style, and even some makeup for touch-ups on-the-go, as we danced all night long. The fragrance I designed in honor of this period of my life, and those great times spent in Sesto Senso, is a wild, sensual, and elegant fruity-floral blend of tuberose, apricot, and peach.” At that time, Hilde adds, Dior launched its famous Poison. The sexy tuberose soaked in a juicy fruit cocktail, is a nod to the great classic.
The third novelty, Miss Tranchant, is one of those fragrances that I’m so much anxious to try. Same as Il Tuo Tulipano and Stelle di Ghiacchio, Miss Tranchant offers a special kind of energy that is designed and woven of pure love. This time, it is the kind of love and respect she has for her friends, and for excellent food. Miss Tranchant is a nickname that Hilde got from the world famous 2 star Michelin chef Mauro Uliassi. They recorded a TV show together, which I heartily recommend for viewing, and especially to those who love gastronomy. Miss Tranchant is a fragrance that propels her SENSHILDE collection, named after the TV project in which she blends all of her passions in one: smells, tastes, food, art, and friendship!
“Miss Tranchant fragrance offers tasty notes of butter and oysters, which are inspired by Mauro’s butter mixed with water and oysters that he serves along with different types of bread. The fragrance brings a specific and sophisticated gourmet experience. As for the name Miss Tranchant, it is a nickname jokingly given to me by Mauro. It refers to my stubborn habit to stick to my own opinions on most things, no matter what. The fragrance is dedicated to Mauro Uliassi.” Knowing that I love Stelle di Ghiacchio, Hilde also suggests to try Stelle over Miss Tranchant, which is the craziest blend that I might even like. The freshness of the sea combined with herbal aromas and champagne, over butter and oysters – sounds fantastic, and I can’t wait to experience this gourmand collage. In the first episode of the TV project Senshilde, you can see Mauro’s specialties prepared in his restaurant, Ristorante Uliassi Senigallia, and his guests: Hilde Soliani and her friend, Theatre Casalmaggiore Artistic Director, Mr. Giuseppe Romanetti. They are currently working on the second episode, which is filmed in the restaurant Aqua Crua in Barbarano Vicentino, featuring Giuliano Baldessari as the chef, and Dr. Gianfranco Marchesi, a psychiatrist specializing in the field neurogastronomy, as a guest. Enjoy!
